Richard brings over 30 years of shipping and forwarding experience to his role as Head of Sales. His career has covered the full transport process, from managing departments at major shipping lines to building strong relationships with suppliers and customers across global markets. Since joining Freight Agency in 2015, Richard has combined deep industry knowledge with a strong focus on customer relationships and business development. He leads the sales function with a practical understanding of customer challenges, helping clients find the right logistics solutions for their needs. With more than 12 years navigating the complexities of international freight, Simon ensures our customers receive the expert guidance they need - whether they're in the UK or overseas. He makes regular trips to our Ghana office, working directly with the local team and meeting customers face-to-face to understand their evolving needs. Simon's hands-on approach means problems get solved quickly and relationships stay strong. Outside work, he's passionate about cooking, staying fit, and spending quality time with his family.

Heather joined Freight Agency in October 2012 and has progressed through the business into a senior operational leadership role. As Head of Operations, she leads the day-to-day operational function, supporting teams across logistics, operations, agency activity, key accounts and customer delivery. Her strong understanding of freight forwarding processes helps ensure shipments are handled accurately, customer requirements are managed proactively, and operational challenges are resolved with care and efficiency. Heather’s practical knowledge and calm approach make her central to Freight Agency’s commitment to reliable, people-led logistics. Outside work, Heather enjoys reading, baking, cake decorating and spending time with her family.

Linda joined Freight Agency in December 2024, bringing valuable people management experience and a strong focus on performance, structure and continuous improvement. As Head of Business Performance, she supports how the business works across teams, helping people stay organised, focused and aligned around customer service excellence. Linda is known for her persistence and problem-solving approach. She keeps going until issues are resolved and customers are supported, while also helping to build a positive and motivated working environment. Outside work, Linda enjoys walking, relaxing and spending quality time with family and friends.

James joined Freight Agency in 2012 as a purchase ledger clerk and has progressed through the business to become Head of Finance. He now leads the finance function, supporting accurate financial management, reporting and control across the company. With many years of experience inside the business, James understands how finance connects with the wider freight forwarding operation. His role helps ensure the company remains financially organised, commercially aware and well supported in its decision-making. Outside work, James enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Andrew joined Freight Agency in 2007 and has built extensive knowledge across freight forwarding, commercial operations and supplier relationships. As Head of Commercial, he leads the commercial function across import and export activity, helping the business secure competitive freight solutions for customers. His strength lies in negotiating rates, building relationships with shipping lines and suppliers, and identifying commercial opportunities that support both customer needs and business performance. Andrew’s experience makes him central to Freight Agency’s ability to deliver reliable and cost-effective freight solutions. Outside work, Andrew supports Leeds United and enjoys golf and home improvement projects.

Spencer joined Freight Agency in February 2017, bringing over 40 years of shipping industry experience. His main responsibility is bringing new business to the company, and his extensive knowledge makes him highly respected in the UK export market. Having worked for global carriers and specialist Africa shipping lines, Spencer has travelled throughout Europe and West Africa, building the relationships and understanding that help clients navigate complex shipping scenarios. Outside work, he enjoys travelling, cooking, and following Arsenal FC—though decades in shipping haven't managed to convert him to a Yorkshire team!

Alex supports the Sales Team by developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities and helping clients find the right freight solutions for their business needs. His role contributes to Freight Agency’s continued growth and customer-focused approach

Alex joined the team in 2023 after spending five years developing his expertise across sales and operations roles. He's particularly skilled in handling specialist cargo - from breakbulk to out-of-gauge projects that require creative solutions and meticulous planning. Based in Sheffield but a dedicated Arsenal FC supporter, Alex brings enthusiasm and technical know-how to every client challenge.

Temitope Falana serves as Strategic Marketing Lead at Freight Agency Limited, working as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate in collaboration with Leeds Beckett University. In this role, he supports the company’s strategic marketing, business development and international growth activity. His work focuses on strengthening Freight Agency’s market positioning, improving marketing systems and supporting evidence-led growth across key markets. Before joining Freight Agency, Temitope built experience across telecommunications and banking, with a track record in revenue generation, team leadership and strategic marketing.

Holly supports the Logistics Team with back-office coordination, helping ensure documentation, shipment records and internal processes are managed accurately. Her role provides important support behind the scenes, keeping logistics activity organised and helping the wider team deliver a reliable service to customers.

James joined Freight Agency in September 2014 and has become a senior member of the Logistics Team. As Logistics Team Leader, he coordinates cross-trade business, supports complex logistics activity and helps ensure customers receive reliable operational support. He is trained in UK customs clearance and hazardous cargo handling, bringing practical knowledge to time-sensitive and specialist shipments. Outside work, James enjoys snooker and cooking. Holly joined Freight Agency in May 2021, initially working with shipping documentation before moving into the Operations Cell Team. As Operations Team Leader, she supports the day-to-day coordination of customer shipments and helps maintain high standards across the operations team. Her attention to detail helps ensure documentation is accurate and shipments move without unnecessary delays. Outside work, Holly enjoys walking, making social media videos of her dog, knitting and painting

Lauren brings eight years of European road freight experience to her role, including expertise in handling bonded cargo movements. Now transitioning into sea freight, she is eager to apply her logistics knowledge to the maritime sector. Known for her practical approach and strong operational background, Lauren is ready to support customers as she expands her capabilities in international shipping. Fun Fact: Lauren enjoys country walks with her dog Stanley and is a dedicated Harry Potter fan.

Elise joined the Agency Team in November 2022 and brings experience across sea freight, air freight and road transport, handling both exports and imports. As Agency Team Leader, she supports the coordination of agency activity and helps manage complex international movements. Her broad operational knowledge makes her a valuable point of support for customers and colleagues. Outside work, Elise enjoys walking her dog and spending time with family and friends

Michael has worked in the freight forwarding industry since 2017, building broad experience across operational and commercial functions within international logistics. His background includes export and import operations, cross-trade shipments, customs procedures and pricing solutions across a range of freight movements. As Project & Pricing Coordinator, Michael supports export, import, cross-trade and specialist project cargo requirements. He is known for his attention to detail, problem-solving ability and commitment to delivering tailored logistics solutions that meet customer requirements and deadlines. Michael combines operational knowledge with commercial awareness, helping customers access reliable and cost-effective supply chain solutions. His experience across customs, pricing and operations also enables him to build strong relationships with clients, carriers and global partners. Outside work, Michael enjoys photography and has photographed live bands performing on stage at large events and venues.

Margo joined Freight Agency in December 2023 after completing her BIFA course and moving from teaching into freight forwarding. As Commercial Team Leader, she supports the team responsible for pricing, quotations and commercial coordination across the business. Her teaching background gives her a strong ability to explain complex logistics clearly and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. Outside work, Margo enjoys literature, art and gardening

Fiona joined the Finance Team in September 2011 and manages credit control with professionalism and care. Her role includes chasing debt, checking payments received and making payments to suppliers while maintaining positive client relationships. Her patience and understanding help ensure financial matters are handled smoothly without losing the personal touch Freight Agency values. Outside work, Fiona enjoys Zumba, Salsa and being active at North Church Leeds

Martelle Teale, known to most people as Marnie, has worked in logistics and freight forwarding for eight years. Her experience covers contract logistics, road freight, key account management and warehousing, including temporary and long-term storage solutions where off-quay storage cannot support customer requirements. Marnie has built a large LinkedIn network of hauliers, warehouses, forwarders and logistics professionals over the years, giving her access to a broad support network when specialist knowledge or practical solutions are needed. She enjoys helping customers and values being involved in the full end-to-end process, from origin through to container restitution. Outside work, Marnie can speak three languages fluently: English, French and Turkish.

Natalie Towler joined Freight Agency in May 2026 as a Key Accounts Coordinator. She brings strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to planning and coordination. In her role, Natalie supports key account activity by helping ensure customers receive clear communication, efficient follow-up and careful coordination. Her attention to detail and commitment to service help maintain a positive customer experience and support the wider team in managing important client relationships. Outside work, Natalie enjoys reading, music and looking after her cats.

Lauren brings 10 years of experience in freight forwarding and specialises in customs regulations and compliance. As Customs Specialist, she provides guidance on international trade requirements and supports customers with customs clearance processes. Her knowledge helps clients navigate complex cross-border shipments with greater confidence, while her commitment to staying up to date with changing customs legislation makes her a valuable resource for both customers and the wider team.

Craig joined Freight Agency in March 2026 and brings many years of internal sales experience to the business. As Commercial Coordinator, he supports customer enquiries, commercial communication and the development of customer relationships. Craig brings enthusiasm, energy and a strong relationship-focused approach to his role. His experience in internal sales helps him understand customer needs, respond clearly and support the wider commercial team in delivering a strong service. Outside work, Craig is a Bradford City supporter and a keen gamer. He also once captained the National Cricket Centre of Excellence team against England Under-19s at Lord’s.

Luke has been with Freight Agency since June 2013, building his career from the bookings department into a specialist commercial role. As Commercial Specialist, he helps secure competitive rates, maintain supplier relationships and support customers with practical freight solutions. His strong relationships with major shipping lines make him a valuable part of the commercial function, especially when navigating market challenges and securing reliable service. Outside work, Luke is a Bradford City season ticket holder and enjoys clay shooting and socialising with friends.

Kate joined Freight Agency in June 2017 and has developed strong knowledge in export documentation, bills of lading, cargo tracking notes and related shipping requirements. As Logistics Coordinator, she supports the accurate movement of cargo and helps ensure documentation is prepared correctly. Her attention to detail supports smooth customs clearance and helps customers meet the regulatory requirements linked to international shipping. Outside work, Kate volunteers with the Sea Cadet Corps and serves as a fully trained Special Constable for West Yorkshire Police.

Jack has more than seven years’ experience in the freight industry and has built extensive knowledge across customer service, haulier coordination and shipping line communication. He is able to resolve queries efficiently and effectively, drawing on his practical industry experience and strong working relationships. Jack has built long-standing relationships with customers, hauliers and shipping lines, helping him support shipments with confidence and care. After taking a brief break from the shipping world, he returned to the industry because he missed it so much. Outside work, Jack is currently taking up paddleboarding and enjoys visiting the Lake District to explore the lakes. He is also a member of Otley Sailing Club, where he spends many of his weekends.

Adam brings a background in warehousing and logistics to his role as Operations Coordinator. He supports bookings, day-to-day operational activity and the smooth movement of shipments through the business. He is recognised for his organisational skills, collaborative approach and willingness to help when quick solutions are needed. Outside work, Adam enjoys long walks with his dogs and going to the gym

Kayleigh joined the Operations Team in June 2025 and supports West Africa operations. As Operations Coordinator, she helps manage documentation and shipment coordination across complex regional requirements. Working closely with the Ghana office, Kayleigh supports UK-Africa trade lanes with a careful and detail-focused approach. Outside work, she supports Bradford City, enjoys aerial fitness and looks after her cat

Michelle joined Freight Agency in 2005 and has developed extensive knowledge across departments, customers, processes and the wider market. As Key Accounts Coordinator, she supports customer relationships and helps ensure important accounts receive consistent, joined-up service. Her long-standing experience means she understands who to contact, what solution to suggest and how to help customers move forward quickly. Daisy joined the Agency Team in January 2024, bringing five years of import experience and specialist training in dangerous goods by air. As Agency Coordinator, she supports imports, LCL, air freight, cross-trade shipments and customer quotations. Her varied skill set helps the team manage a wide range of shipment requirements. Outside work, Daisy enjoys baking, cross stitch and spending time with her dog.

Jamie began her freight forwarding career in 2011 after graduating in Vietnam and has built more than 12 years of experience across logistics operations, customer service and international shipping. As Commercial Coordinator, she supports pricing, customer enquiries and the coordination of freight solutions. Known for her reliability, calm approach and willingness to help, Jamie brings international logistics experience and a strong customer focus to the team. Outside work, she enjoys cooking Vietnamese and UK dishes and spending time with her son.

Wayne has been with Freight Agency since 1996 and brings extensive shipping industry experience to the commercial team. As Commercial Coordinator, he supports pricing, freight rate analysis and customer solutions across the business. His deep market knowledge helps identify cost-effective options for customers and supports the wider team in responding to commercial enquiries. Anisha joined the Sales Team in April 2025 and now supports the commercial function as Commercial Coordinator. Her role focuses on customer enquiries, pricing support and clear communication around freight options. She brings a strong service ethic, a proactive approach to customer needs and a careful eye for detail. Outside work, Anisha enjoys bowling and educational classes.

Lucy started with Freight Agency in 2011 in the bookings department before moving into accounts in January 2020. As P/T Finance Assistant, she supports customer accounts, payment allocation and document release. Her operations background gives her useful wider business understanding, helping her connect finance activity with the day-to-day needs of customers and colleagues

Oliver joined the accounts team in 2025 after working in accounting firms across Yorkshire. As Accounts Assistant, he supports bookkeeping, payroll processing and management accounts preparation. His attention to detail and systematic approach help ensure accurate financial record-keeping and timely reporting. Outside work, Oliver plays rugby for Baildon Rugby Football Club
