Freight Agency recently shipped a container to Freetown for the charity Home Leone. This compassionate organisation was set up by Mr Nigel Hyde to try and make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate living in Sierra Leone. His idea is to try and help with some of the lack of housing and school availability issues in the country. Part of this project is to ship used school equipment from the UK that would have otherwise gone to waste. This can then be used within the school that the charity is in the process of building in Freetown, Sierra Leone
As such on a recent Saturday morning in April, Nigel and a group of volunteers loaded a 40’ HC container at an old school in Silsoe, Bedfordshire, UK. Freight Agency Sales Director, Richard Smith also popped in for a couple of hours to help with the loading. This container has been shipped to Freetown where the charity will take release and store the goods before using at a future date.
