Important – Changes to Bill of Lading submission deadline
From the 1st January 2021 new rules apply meaning that Shipping Lines require full cargo details 24 hours before the vessel ARRIVES at the UK Port of Loading. Consequently shipping instructions (also known as Bill of Lading instructions) MUST be forwarded to us in good time to meet this deadline.
What you need to provide and when?
24 hours before vessel arrives at the Port of Loading we require the FULL Bill of Lading information; Shipper, Consignee, Notify (if any), cargo description, quantity of packages, etc…
For USA, Canada, China, Japan and South Africa – we are required to send this information 36 hours prior to vessels arrival.
Late instructions (after cut-off) are at risk of short shipment and additional costs
